Seminar on Scheduled Waste Management & Hands-on Session with ESWIS V2
On 9 September 2025, the Seminar on Scheduled Waste Management & Hands-on Session with ESWIS V2 was successfully held in Tawau. The seminar focused on the use of the latest version of the Electronic Scheduled Waste Information System (ESWIS), designed to enhance the effectiveness of scheduled waste management in Malaysia.
The event was officiated by the Director of the Department of Environment Sabah, YBrs. Puan Nor Rashidah Binti Mohd Ghazali, who emphasized the importance of adopting digital solutions to ensure compliance with scheduled waste management regulations in line with environmental standards.
A hands-on session was also conducted, giving participants the opportunity to practice using ESWIS V2 directly. Guided by experts, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the system’s new features, including reporting, monitoring, and managing scheduled waste data.
This seminar is expected to improve organizational efficiency in managing scheduled waste while supporting national efforts to safeguard environmental sustainability.
